In nutrition, diet(body fuel) is the sum of food consumed by a person.The word diet(body fuel) regularly implies the use of specific intake of nutrition for health or weight-management reasons

We all have a diet because we all eat. For better or worse, we all have one. Although humans are omnivores, each culture and each person holds some food preferences or some food taboos. This may be due to personal tastes or ethical reasons.

Individual dietary choices may be more or less healthy.Dietary habits and choices play a significant role in the quality of life, health and longevity

Nutrients are the fuel we need to enable the body to break down food and then put this to use in the body to repair and build cells and tissue, which is basically our metabolism.

Complete nutrition requires ingestion and absorption of vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids from protein and essential fatty acids from fat-containing food, also food energy in the form of carbohydrate, protein, and fat.Nutrition is a critical part of health and development.

Better nutrition is related to improved infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases  (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity.

Types of Nutrition

Diet(body fuel) contains two types of nutrition :macro nutrient and micro nutrient

They’re the three categories of macro nutrients you eat the most and provide you with most of your energy: protein, carbohydrates and fats.They’re needed in relatively larger amounts than other nutrients, hence the term “macro.” Although there are recommended ranges for macronutrient intake, your needs vary based on your personal circumstances.

You can obtain macro nutrients from the foods you eat. It’s important to eat a variety of foods to get enough of each macro nutrient.
So when you’re counting your macros, you’re counting the grams of proteins, carbs or fat that you’re consuming.

Macro nutrients also contain energy in the form of calories. Carbs are the main energy source, but your body can use other macro nutrients for energy if needed.Some foods are high in one specific macro nutrient, while other foods contain high amounts of two nutrients and fall into two macro nutrient groups.

Carbs are primarily found in grains, fruits, beans, and starchy vegetables. Protein-rich foods include eggs, meat, fish, and soy products, while high fat foods include avocados, nuts, seeds, cooking oils, and fatty fish.

Micro nutrients are vitamins and minerals needed by the body in very small amounts.
However, their impact on a body’s health are critical, and deficiency in any of them can cause severe and even life-threatening conditions.Vitamins are necessary for energy production, immune function, blood clotting and other functions. Meanwhile, minerals play an important role in growth, bone health, fluid balance and several other processes.In diet (body fuel) micro nutrient plays very important role.

Vitamins are organic compounds made by plants and animals which can be broken down by heat, acid or air. On the other hand, minerals are inorganic, exist in soil or water and cannot be broken down.
